Why Shouldn’t I go on this trip?

The CLC Mission Helper Program wants to be able to provide opportunities for anyone who is willing to volunteer. But there are those who might want to consider another way of serving our Lord which includes but is not limited to the following:

  1. Those with physical limitations might find the travel conditions and the lack of handicap facilities a challenge they are unable to overcome.MHT 2007 street
  2. Those who are not willing to adapt to and live within the culture of those we try to assist with God’s word could possibly do more harm than good.
  3. Some might be tempted to think of the Mission Helper Program simply as a way to see the world. While it will be exciting and there will be opportunities to take in the culture and sights of another country, tourism is not the main purpose of this program. The purpose of your trip will be to work and teach in order to further the Kingdom of God!
